What do you think? Can you suggest some other base colours that I could try?

Opal trial - FAIL
Well, the Opal effect didn't exactly turn out as planned. It would seem the base coat I used (Revlon - Cloud) was just too light to fully show off the flakies, as evidenced below:
So, I added a coat of Sally Hansen, Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear - Disco Ball, just to give it a bit more "fire".
What do you think? Can you suggest some other base colours that I could try?
